Eng. Abdulla Abdul Aziz AlShamsi is the Head of Investment and New Initiatives within UAE Clusters unit of Mubadala Investment Company’s UAE Investments Platform.

The platform contributes to the acceleration of the UAE’s economic transformation, and the development of National world class champions, fostering vibrant industrial and commercial clusters, and engaging with global partners. H.E. Abdulla Bin Mohammed Bin Butti Al Hamed is currently Chairman of the Department of Health. He previously served as Chairman of Abu Dhabi Energy Authority and also the Chairman of Regulation and Supervision Bureau - Abu Dhabi.

Dr Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus was elected as WHO Director-General for a five-year term by WHO Member States at the Seventieth World Health Assembly in May 2017.

He is the first WHO Director-General to have been elected from multiple candidates by the World Health Assembly, and is the first person from the WHO African Region to serve as WHO’s chief technical and administrative officer.

Immediately after taking office on 1 July 2017 Dr Tedros outlined five key priorities for the Organization: universal health coverage; health emergencies; women’s, children’s and adolescents’ health; health impacts of climate and environmental change; and a transformed WHO.

Prior to his election as WHO Director-General, Dr Tedros served as Ethiopia’s Minister of Foreign Affairs from 2012–2016. In this role he led efforts to negotiate the Addis Ababa Action Agenda, in which 193 countries committed to the financing necessary to achieve the Sustainable Development Goals.

Dr. E. Osagie Ehanire is Minister of Health of Nigeria, a Specialist in General Surgery and Orthopaedic Trauma Surgery by training. Henrietta H. Fore became UNICEF’s seventh Executive Director on 1 January 2018. She has worked to champion economic development, education, health, humanitarian assistance and disaster relief in a public service, private sector and non-profit leadership career that spans more than four decades.

From 2007 to 2009, Ms. Fore served as the Administrator of the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID) and Director of United States Foreign Assistance. The first woman to serve in these roles, she was responsible for managing $39.5 billion of U.S. foreign assistance annually, including support to peoples and countries recovering from disaster and building their futures economically, politically and socially.

Led the Sector of the Health Centers & Clinics and Public Health that manages national public health priorities including noncommunicable diseases, communicable diseases and health security, emergency preparedness and response, maternal and child health, health promotion and many other programs. His worked on health system strengthening through strengthening of PHC to ensure universal health coverage for all. In each area of public health, the country has made significant progress.

James R. Muhs is the regional president of the Middle East, Indian Subcontinent and Africa (MEISA) region for FedEx Express. Based in Dubai, Muhs leads around 10,000 FedEx Express team members, and is responsible for providing the strategic direction for the region.

Prior to his current appointment, Muhs was President and CEO of FedEx Trade Networks. He also previously served as senior vice president of U.S. international, global planning, engineering, and trade services for FedEx Express, where he was responsible for the company’s U.S. export business, as well as the planning and engineering of the FedEx Express global network.

Since joining FedEx in 1984, Muhs has served as managing director of global operations control. Following that appointment, he became vice president of global network planning and operations control in 1998. He is a four-time recipient of the company’s highest award for individual leadership and contribution.

Muhs holds a BBA from the University of North Dakota and an MBA from the University of Memphis. He currently serves as chairman of the North American Leaders Group of the U.S. Chamber of Commerce, and on the Global Board of Directors of U.S - India Business Council (USIBC) of the U.S. Chamber of Commerce.

His Excellency Dr. Jamal Mohammed Al Kaabi is the Undersecretary of the Department of Health – Abu Dhabi (DOH), having previously occupied prominent roles in Government operations following his experience in the military.

Dr. Al Kaabi began his career in healthcare at HAAD (currently DoH), where he held the position of Section Head of Health Audit – Facilities, before being promoted to Head of Customer Services & Corporate Communications.

In March 2014, Dr. Al Kaabi was appointed to work in the office of the Vice President of the Executive Council, as a consultant to the healthcare sector, before taking on the role of Director of Social Development at the Abu Dhabi Executive Council.

In July 2015, he moved to the General Secretariat of the Executive Council as Director of the Social Development Sector. Following this, in 2018, he was appointed Executive Director of Government Affairs. The following year, he served as Director General of the Abu Dhabi Executive Office.

In February 2020, Dr. Al Kaabi moved to the Department of Finance (DOF), where he held the position of Director General of Governmental Affairs.

In addition to his vast expertise in the government sector, Dr. Al Kaabi, presented a number of Arabic TV programmes, including the “Think about Health” and the “Oxygen” programmes on Abu Dhabi TV, in addition to the “Green Apple” show on MBC.

Dr. Al Kaabi is a graduate of UAE University with a bachelor’s degree in Medicine and Surgery. He also holds a master’s degree in Public Health and Leadership from Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health in the United States of America.

Jean-Cedric Meeus joined UNICEF as Logistics and Emergency Specialist in 2001. Since then he performed in different Supply chain function based in Mozambique, HQ NY (Supply Emergency Response Officer), HQ Copenhagen (Chief Emergency Supply Manager), Dakar Regional officer of Western and Central Africa as regional Supply Chain manager to finally take his current position in Copenhagen as Chief of UNICEF Global transport operation. Prior to UNICEF he performed as Logistics Technical Specialist with MSF for 10 years.

Over his years of experience in Humanitarian and development Supply chain management he had the opportunity to work in a large number of countries over the global mostly in complex contexts. Through his different positions he managed pharmaceuticals, immunization, health, education and WASH commodities to be delivered from origin to beneficiaries.

In September 2020, the Gavi Board appointed José Manuel Barroso as its new Chair, beginning in January 2021. Barroso served as Prime Minister of Portugal from 2002–2004 and as President of the European Commission from 2004–2014, accepting the Nobel Peace Prize on behalf of the European Union in 2012. He is currently non-executive Chairman of London-based Goldman Sachs International.

In 1985, Barroso was elected for the first of several times to the Portuguese Parliament (Assembleia da República) and served as Chairman of its Committee on Foreign Affairs and Cooperation. He was successively State Secretary in the Ministry of Internal Administration, State Secretary for Foreign Affairs and Development Cooperation and
Minister for Foreign Affairs.

While serving as Prime Minister of Portugal, Barroso was invited by his European peers to be a candidate to the leadership of the European Commission and was elected by the European Parliament for two terms as President of the European Commission. In these functions, he committed special efforts to the enlargement and the incorporation of new members in the European Union, which, during his presidency, grew from 15 to 28 member states. Within the framework of the policy to combat climate change, Barroso launched the legislative package known as “20/20/20” for decarbonisation. He was at the centre of initiatives taken for the signature and ratification of the new European Union Treaties (Treaty of Lisbon), and also of the Commission's response to the post-2007 global financial crisis, namely with the Banking Union proposals and European legislation to regulate the financial sector.

Currently, Barroso is a Visiting Professor at Universidade Catolica Portuguesa and Director of the Center for European Studies at its Institute for Political Studies. He is a Visiting Professor at the Graduate Institute of International and Development Studies in Geneva and teaches at the School of Transnational Governance of the European University Institute in Florence. He is a Non-Resident Senior Fellow with the Liechtenstein Institute on Self-Determination at Princeton University. Earlier in his career, he was a teaching assistant at the Universities of Lisbon and Geneva, and a Visiting Professor at Georgetown University, Princeton University and the University of Geneva. He has published several books and articles in academic journals on political science and international relations.

Kashif Khalid is currently leading the International Air Transport Association’s (IATA) industry activities and projects in the Middle East & Africa region providing leadership and guidance to Airlines, Airports, ANSP's, Civil Aviation Authorities, Security Agencies and Governments to further develop IATA’s mission, projects and advocacy initiatives. Mark joined the foundation in 2007 as director of Global Development Policy, Advocacy, and Special Initiatives. Prior to becoming CEO, Mark served as managing director of Country Offices, president of Global Policy and Advocacy, and chief strategy officer. In these roles, he built and oversaw the development of the foundation’s offices in India, China, Africa, and Europe, and managed the foundation’s relationships with government, private philanthropists, and civil society. He also implemented a new system for how the foundation measures impact and manages tradeoffs across its strategic priorities.

Martin was appointed to the role of Senior Vice President – Sales & Cargo Etihad Aviation Group in November 2020. As a member of the Etihad Aviation Group Executive Management team, Martin oversees Passenger sales, Etihad Cargo and Etihad Secure Logistics, in addition to several business development opportunities at the Abu Dhabi hub.

With more than 20 years of experience in the aviation industry, Martin has served various leadership roles across the cargo and aviation industry, including Etihad, DAS Air Cargo, ANA Aviation Services and Lufthansa Cargo.

Before serving as Managing Director, Martin headed Etihad Airways’ global sales organisation across 17 countries in Europe and the Americas, including Passenger Sales, Marketing and Alliances with a revenue budget of USD1.65bn. During this time, he significantly improved the quality of business by reducing dependence on low yielding through higher premium revenues, increased corporate traffic and a better channel mix.

Martin also served as Vice President Cargo at Jet Airways where he defined, developed and led a winning strategy for the companies’ long-term cargo business growth, in line with the airline's overall business objectives.

From 2005 – 2014, he held various senior positions at Etihad Cargo. During this time, he headed all commercial freighter activities and was responsible for freighter network planning, managing the airlines strategic fleet development whilst formulating and executing business strategies.

Captain Mohamed Juma Al Shamisi is the Group Chief Executive Officer of Abu Dhabi Ports, the operator and the manager of commercial and community ports within the emirate of Abu Dhabi, as well as Fujairah Terminals, Khalifa Industrial Zone Abu Dhabi (KIZAD) and ZonesCorp.

In his role, he oversees the development of Abu Dhabi Ports’ portfolio of assets and activities as well as directs their strategy and operations. Under his leadership, the transition from a project-focused organisation to a fully operational, customer focused ports and industrial zones business (KIZAD) has been a remarkable success.

A strong, determined and entrepreneurial leader, he leads the Group in supporting the government’s objective of diversifying the non-oil and gas economy.

Captain Al Shamisi is an experienced maritime executive with almost 20 years of industry experience, working to ensure Abu Dhabi Ports continues to hold a prime position in the region’s commercial maritime whilst boosting the profile of Abu Dhabi globally.

He joined Abu Dhabi Ports in 2008 and has held key leadership positions within its portfolio, which include the Executive Vice President for the company’s Ports Unit, where he was instrumental in restructuring this unit and rationalising its assets. He also oversaw the completion and commissioning of the first phase of flagship port, Khalifa Port and adjacent Khalifa Industrial Zone.

During his management, Abu Dhabi Ports has won more than 40 prestigious local and international awards, including five categories of Abu Dhabi Award for Excellence in Government Performance 2017 which granted the company the Main Award.

Captain Al Shamisi is Chairman of Aramex and Chairman of Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Company (ADNEC), he is also a Board Member of Etihad Rail DB and MAKE A WISH Foundation UAE. He also serves as a member of the Board of Trustees to the Emirates Maritime Arbitration Centre. He is currently the Chairman of KIZAD Board of Directors, and has served as a Board Member of Etihad Airways. He has been recently appointed as the Vice Chairman of Arab Sea Port Federation.

Captain Al Shamisi holds an MBA, an advanced Diploma of Applied Science (shipmaster) and a Graduate Certificate of Management from the University of Tasmania, Australia. He has received the Peter Morris Prize from the Australian Maritime College’s (AMC) for his significant contributions to the maritime industry, as well as the AMC Baird Publication Prize.

Former member of the Senate of the Republic of Kenya, as first Senator to represent the County of Nyeri. Previously served as Cabinet Minister for Information and Communications, and Member of Parliament for Mukurweini Constituency. Worked to develop, craft and pass legislative actions, bills and amendments that advanced the interests of the Kenyan people. Pioneered the laying of innovative technologies such as The East African Marine System (T.E.A.M.S) – The Fibre Optic Project for Eastern Africa that has transformed the information and telecommunications industry in Kenya and was Minister at the launch of the first global mobile money system - the now famous Mpesa. Previously served as the Chairman of the Senate Standing Committee on Information and Technology, Member Senate Standing Committee on Education and Senate Standing Committee on Finance, Commerce and Budget. Other past positions also include Committee Member, The Commonwealth Parliamentary Association, Member, the parliamentarian network of the World Bank and Chair, The Finance, Trade, Tourism and Planning Parliamentary Committee.

Between Jan 2012 and July 2013 served as a senior Deputy Director General for Health Informatics in the Ministry of Health.

On August 2013 Prof. Ash joined Maccabi Healthcare Services (MHS) as the chief Director of "Sharon" district. A year later he was promoted to be the Director of the Health Division of MHS, a position that he held until August 2020.

On Nov 2020 Prof. Ash was appointed to lead the national efforts to control the Covid-19 pandemic in Israel.

Nachman Ash is an associate professor at Ariel University, the school of Health Sciences, the department of health systems management.

Nadhim Zahawi was appointed as Parliamentary Under Secretary of State at the Department for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy on 26 July 2019. He was also appointed as a Parliamentary Under Secretary of State at the Department of Health and Social Care on 28 November 2020.

He was previously Parliamentary Under Secretary of State at the Department for Education from 9 January 2018 to 26 July 2019. Nadhim was elected as Conservative MP for Stratford-on-Avon in May 2010.

Dr. Noura Al Dhaheri strategically manages Abu Dhabi Ports’ digital cluster, under her stewardship, Abu Dhabi Ports’ digital cluster plays an intergral role in the region’s digital transformation efforts by enhancing stakeholder experinces and discovering new technologies that create cost and time savings, in addition to generating revenues.
Dr. Al Dhaheri has led Maqta Gateway since its establishment in 2014 by successfully implementing the first purpose-built Port Community System (PCS) in the UAE, as well as developing the Advanced Trade & Logistics Platform (ATLP), the emirate’s dedicated single window for all trade via sea, land, air, and zones, currently being developed and operated by Maqta Gateway, under the Supervision of Abu Dhabi’s Department of Economic Development. Furthermore, Maqta Gateway, under Dr Al Dhaheri’s guidance introduced innovative digital logistic solutions such as Margo, the UAE’s digital marketplace for logistics.
Widely acclaimed for her contributions to the maritime sector, Dr. Al Dhaheri has won numerous accolades including Entrepreneur of the Year by International Bulk Journal (IBJ) in 2018; the Seatrade Maritime Awards for Integration of Women in Maritime Sector Award; the Seatrade Award for the Young Personality of the Year in 2019; as well as the Emirates Women Award for Leadership.

Her leadership has also been acknowledged by the International Association of Ports and Harbors (IAPH) at the World Port Sustainability Awards 2019.

Dr. Al Dhaheri holds a BSc degree in Software Engineering from the United Arab Emirates University, an MSc in Engineering Systems and Management, as well as a PhD in Interdisciplinary Engineering from Masdar Institute and Massachusetts Institute of Technology.

Dr Pascal Rey-Herme is Co-Founder and Group Medical Director of International SOS, the world’s leading medical and security risk services company. International SOS provides integrated medical, clinical, security, and customer care solutions to organisations with international operations.

Dr Rey-Herme received medical training at the University of Paris Medical School and obtained emergency training when he was working for the SAMU (Service d'Aide Médicale d'Urgence) in France in the late 1970s. The SAMU is the largest pre-hospital care organisation in Europe responsible for transporting patients with a medical team.

Prior to co-founding International SOS, Dr Rey-Herme was medical attaché with the French Embassy in Indonesia, responsible for the medical care of the embassy staff. During his tenure, he performed a consulting role advising French expatriates and companies on health issues.

In 1985 Dr Rey-Herme founded International SOS with Mr Arnaud Vaissié in Singapore, pioneering international-standard healthcare, medical and then security risk assistance services for multinational corporations.

Dr Rey-Herme has vast experience and expertise in numerous medical fields such as aeromedicine, and the provision of medical services and logistical planning in remote locations, particularly in Asia. At International SOS, he is responsible for the organisation and supervision of all of the company's medical activities and staff.

Dr Hajjeh is a senior public health leader with over 27 years experience in global health, infectious diseases epidemiology, health policy and diplomacy, and health management, especially in the Middle East Region. Dr Hajjeh is currently holding the position of the Director of Programme Management (DPM) at the WHO Eastern Mediterranean Regional Office (EMRO) since April 2019 (i.e. deputy regional director for technical issues). Between 2016-2019, she held the position of the Director of the Department of Communicable Diseases Prevention and Control. Prior to joining WHO/EMRO in 2016, Dr Hajjeh worked at the US Centers for Disease Prevention and Control (CDC) for 23 years, where she held many senior positions.

Between 2005-2010, Dr Hajjeh was the Director of the GAVI Hib vaccine Initiative, that introduced lifesaving vaccines for Hib meningitis and pneumonia to millions of children in limited resource countries around the world. During her work at CDC, Dr Hajjeh led responses to major epidemics across the world, including meningitis during Hajj in Saudi Arabia in 2000, cholera in Haiti in 2010, as well as MERS CoV in Saudi Arabia and Ebola in West Africa. Dr Hajjeh holds a Medical Doctor (M.D.) degree from the American University of Beirut (AUB), Lebanon, and is American board certified in Internal Medicine and Infectious Diseases, as well as trained in epidemiology at the CDC (EIS Class of 1993).

She has received many awards, including the prestigious U.S. Federal Employee of the Year Award in 2014 for her global vaccine work. Dr. Hajjeh has published over 200 peer-reviewed papers and book chapters, serves as a reviewer for multiple journals, and holds visiting professor positions in medicine and public health at Emory University, Johns Hopkins University and AUB.

Rashed Saif Al Qubaisi is the Chief Executive Officer at Rafed. An accomplished executive, Rashed has extensive managerial experience developed in a senior healthcare management setting. As the highest-ranking executive in the company, Rashed’s primary responsibilities include making major corporate decisions, managing the overall operations and resources of the company and acting as the main point of communication between the board of directors and the corporate leadership team. During his tenure as CEO of Rafed, the Ambulatory Healthcare Services (AHS) achieved Joint Commission International (JCI) network accreditation - the first network accreditation worldwide. Upon the creation of SEHA, the organisation which owns and operates public healthcare facilities in the emirate, Rashed assumed the Manager of Finance position of AHS, then progressing to Chief Financial Officer before taking on the role of Chief Executive Officer. After his role at AHS, Rashed moved on to assume the Deputy Chief Executive Officer role at SEHA. He is also an esteemed member of the Emergency, Crisis and Disaster Management Committee in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi, and is also a member of the Gold Command Leadership Committee under auspices of Department of Health. In 2012, Rashed became a member of the American College of Healthcare Executives.

Richard is the CEO of SkyCell, one of the leading pharma airfreight container providers with the mission to supply the safest pharma containers worldwide whilst reducing CO2 emissions by almost half.

Richard holds a Bachelor of Arts in Management from Université de Fribourg and, attended Harvard University’s Executive Leadership Programme and the Stanford University Graduate School of Business. He helped to build up the Institute for Value-Based Entrepreneurship “IVE” in Switzerland, which provided to more than 2500 students business plan creation classes to date.

SkyCell offers a data-driven container solution that allows pharma companies to optimize their supply chain by reducing, and even predicting, the risk of delivering sensitive drugs by air. It brings together big data, software, and hardware to transform an ever-evolving supply chain, using a growing pool of nearly one billion data-points to enable a market-leading failure rate of less than 0.1%, whilst also reducing CO2 emissions by almost half.

Richard J. Hatchett, MD, is Chief Executive Officer of the Coalition for Epidemic Preparedness Innovations (CEPI), a partnership of public, private, philanthropic and civil organizations that supports the development of vaccines against high priority public health threats and technology platforms to allow the rapid development of vaccines against emerging infectious diseases such as COVID-19.

Dr. Hatchett was previously the acting Director of the U.S. Biomedical Advanced Research and Development Authority (BARDA) and served as Director of Medical Preparedness Policy on the Homeland and National Security Councils under Presidents Bush and Obama, respectively. He received his medical degree from Vanderbilt and completed clinical training in internal medicine and medical oncology at Cornell and Duke.

Robert Coyle joined Kuehne + Nagel (KN) to drive the Pharma & Healthcare business while bringing his “Customer & Patient” perspective.

Prior to KN, Rob worked at GSK for 17 years. Most recently, Rob was the VP, North America Supply Chain and Global Logistics responsible for Pharma and vaccines supply planning, distribution and warehousing activities across GSK.

Rob has a Mechanical Engineering & MBA degree from Georgia Tech & currently Duke University Industry Board Member. Prior to GSK, Rob worked as a Healthcare Logistics consultant with Ernst & Young.

Rob has spent over 23 years in the healthcare industry and looks forward to building on KN’s pharma & healthcare logistics offering.

Robert Mardini was appointed Director-General of the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) in March 2020. As head of the ICRC’s directorate, he is responsible for leading global humanitarian operations with 20,000 staff in more than 90 countries, and a budget of approximately USD 2 billion.

Holder of a master’s degree in civil engineering and hydraulics from the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology (EPFL) in Lausanne, Robert began his ICRC career in 1997 coordinating programmes in Rwanda and Iraq before going on to lead the Water & Habitat unit.

Since then he has fulfilled a variety of high level positions at the heart of the organisation, notably Deputy Director-General (2010-2012), Regional Director for the Near & Middle East (2012-2018) and Permanent Observer to the United Nations and Head of Delegation in New York (2018-2020).

Robert Mardini is a dual Lebanese-Swiss citizen. He is married and has two daughters.

Robert Sutton, who heads up Abu Dhabi Ports’ Logistics Cluster, is a results-driven and customer-focused business leader. At Abu Dhabi Ports, his primary area of responsibility is to develop and implement Abu Dhabi Ports’ logistics strategy and work with customers and partners to meet their business requirements and develop value-driven relationships.

Robert brings more than 20 years of experience across traditional, multi-modal, and digital supply chains spanning the MENA region, Asia, and Europe. His experience includes serving as Vice President & Global Sector Head at DHL.

Robert has a proven track record of achieving profitable and sustainable business growth. He also delivers consistent value and significant improvements to business performance at an operational, strategic and financial level.

His primary area of focus is end-to-end supply chain strategies, change management and marketing/business development.

His Highness Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan was appointed Minister of Foreign Affairs of the United Arab Emirates on the 9th of February, 2006. The ministry’s role focuses on maintaining clear political positions that support the UAE’s relationships with its regional and international partners while promoting the UAE as a regional leader in different fields. Also, as Foreign Minister, he focuses on establishing specialized diplomatic capabilities and encouraging political talents to address international concerns and provide distinct consular and other services in looking after UAE nationals and the issues they may face during their travels.

He represents the UAE at Arab and international conferences and meetings. He launched important international forums like Sir Bani Yas Forum and Global Forum on Relationships between the Arab World, Latin America and the Caribbean.

He guided a rapid expansion of diplomatic links with countries in Latin America, South Pacific, Africa and Asia.

Sheikh Abdullah holds a degree in Political Science from UAE University. He was appointed Minister of Information and Culture in 1997, a post that he held until 2006. He served as Chairman of Emirates Media Incorporated, Chairman of UAE Football Association (1993 – 2001), and as the Under Secretary of the Ministry of Information and Culture from 1995 to 1997.

He was born in Abu Dhabi on the 30th of April, 1972. He is an avid reader, a student of history, a keen sportsman particularly interested in scuba diving, football and cycling. He also enjoys classical music.

He is married to Her Highness Sheikha Alyazia bint Saif Al Nahyan and has five children: Fatima, Mohammad, Zayed, Saif and Theyab.

Simon Bland joined the Global Institute for Disease Elimination (GLIDE) as CEO in 2019, and has over 40 years of international development experience. Previously, he spent six years as the Director of the UNAIDS New York Office, where he played a key role in supporting negotiations that led to the adoption of the Sustainable Development Goals, helping to make the case for a more integrated AIDS response within the broader health, development and security space. Simon spent 30 years with the United Kingdom's Department for International Development (DFID), working in Africa, Asia, the Pacific and Europe, and led DFID country programs in Russia, Ukraine, Kenya and Somalia. He is the former chair of The Global Fund to Fight AIDS, Tuberculosis and Malaria and is currently the vice-chair of the Board of the RBM Partnership to End Malaria and a trustee of Malaria No More (UK). In 2013, Simon was made a Commander of the British Empire in the Queen's Birthday Honors list for service to Global Health.

Dr Soumya Swaminathan was appointed WHO’s first Chief Scientist in March 2019. A paediatrician from India and a globally recognized researcher on tuberculosis and HIV, she brings with her 30 years of experience in clinical care and research and has worked throughout her career to translate research into impactful programmes. Dr Swaminathan was Secretary to the Government of India for Health Research and Director General of the Indian Council of Medical Research from 2015 to 2017. In that position, she focused on bringing science and evidence into health policy making, building research capacity in Indian medical schools and forging south-south partnerships in health sciences. From 2009 to 2011, she also served as Coordinator of the UNICEF/UNDP/World Bank/WHO Special Programme for Research and Training in Tropical Diseases in Geneva.

She received her academic training in India, the United Kingdom, and the United States of America, and has published more than 350 peer-reviewed publications and book chapters. She is an elected Foreign Fellow of the US National Academy of Medicine and a Fellow of all three science academies in India. The Science division’s role is to ensure that WHO stays ahead of the curve and leverages advances in science and technology for public health and clinical care, as well as ensuring that the norms, standards and guidelines produced by WHO are scientifically excellent, relevant and timely. Her vision is to ensure that WHO is at the cutting edge of science and is able to translate new knowledge into meaningful impact on population health worldwide.

Mr. Erck was named president and chief executive officer of Novavax in April 2011. He became a Novavax director in June 2009 and served as its executive chairman of the board beginning in February 2010. From 2000 to 2008, Mr. Erck was president and chief executive officer of IOMAI Corporation, leading the company through an initial public offering and a merger with Intercell, an Austrian vaccine company, and through the development of a late-stage infectious disease product candidate. Mr. Erck previously served as president and chief executive officer at Procept, a publicly traded immunology company, as vice president of corporate development at Integrated Genetics (now Genzyme), and in management positions within Baxter International. Mr. Erck currently sits on the board of directors of MaxCyte, Inc. He received an undergraduate degree from the University of Illinois and a master’s degree in business administration from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business.

In 2019, Stephen Cahill took up the role of Director of Logistics and Field Support, one of the core units of the World Food Programme's Supply Chain Division Headquartered in Rome, Italy. When the COVID-19 pandemic hit last year, Stephen played a central role in WFP’s common services, a comprehensive package of global supply chain solutions that supported over 400 organizations (over 3,000 flights and 28,000 passengers) in continuing their existing humanitarian operations as well as responding to the global crisis.

Stephen has also worked in a variety of other emergencies in the past ten years, including the Mozambique cyclones in 2019, Sierra Leone during the West Africa Ebola Outbreak in 2014 - 15, and the Philippines, where he managed WFP emergency operations in the wake of typhoon Haiyan. Prior to joining WFP, Stephen was a director at a major international shipping company in London, in addition to working extensively in South America and the Middle East. Stephen has a background in Economics and Shipping.

Tarek Sultan is the Chief Executive Officer and Vice Chairman of Agility, a global logistics company. Sultan spearheaded the growth of Agility to a $5.2 billion company, with 26,000+ employees in more than 100 countries.

Agility is one of the world’s top freight forwarding and contract logistics providers, and a leader and investor in technology to enhance supply chain efficiency. Agility is also a pioneer in emerging markets and is one of the largest private owners of logistics parks across the Middle East, Africa, and Asia.

Sultan is an active supporter of the World Economic Forum (WEF) and is a Steward of the WEF’s Stewardship Board of the Platform on Shaping the Future of Mobility. Sultan was previously on the Board of Trustees for Kuwait’s Silk City and Boubyan Island Development Project. He holds an MBA from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania and a Bachelor of Economics from Williams College.

Mr. Kipp joined Aramex as the Chief Operating Officer in November 2020. He is responsible for overseeing Aramex’s global operations, business development, improving operational efficiencies, and championing crucial process improvements, in line with the Company’s long-term growth strategy.

He brings over 25 years of experience across Logistics, e-Commerce and Management Consulting in Europe, Asia and North America. Prior to joining Aramex, Mr. Kipp spent nearly 15 years as a divisional board member with Deutsche Post DHL Group where, most recently, he served as Executive Vice President, Corporate Incubations based in Bonn, Germany. In this role, he was responsible for setting up a completely new division for the development of new business models outside the core business of DPDHL Group.

Prior to this role, Mr. Kipp was Executive Vice President, Strategy and Business Development for the Post, e-Commerce and Parcel (PeP) division, where he managed strategic projects, developed and implemented technology-based process improvements and managed the brand. He was the mastermind behind the "PeP Start-up Play" and “Digital Roadmap” concepts and enabled crucial process improvements to secure revenues through technology and data analytics. Before that, he was the CEO of DHL e-Commerce, where he developed e-Commerce services in core markets outside Europe, substantially improving EBIT performance in the USA and India, establishing nationwide B2C delivery networks in South East Asia and boosting growth in crossborder e-Commerce shipment volumes in China.

From 2009 – 2014, he was the CEO at DHL Global Mail, where he transformed the international postal business in Europe, North America and ASPAC. Prior to that, he led the successful transition of the Deutsche Post Sales organization into the liberalized German Postal market. Before joining DPDHL Group, he held senior leadership roles in global organizations like Monitor Deloitte and BMW Group.

Mr. Kipp holds an MBA from Westfaelische Wilhelms Universitaet in Muenster, Germany.

Tony Douglas joined Etihad Aviation Group as Group Chief Executive Officer in January 2018.

He has nearly 20 years of international leadership experience in transportation, infrastructure, and government sectors. He joins Etihad Aviation Group from the UK’s Ministry of Defence, where he served as CEO of the Defence Equipment and Support department, responsible for procuring and supporting all the equipment and services for the British Armed Forces, managing a budget of US $20 billion a year.

Previously, he held senior leadership positions in the UAE, most notably as CEO of Abu Dhabi Airports Company and Abu Dhabi Ports Company, where he was responsible for the successful delivery of Khalifa Port.

In the UK, he held senior positions with airport operator British Airports Authority (BAA), and Chief Operating Officer and Group Chief Executive designate of Laing O’Rourke. His roles under BAA included Managing Director of Heathrow Terminal 5 project, Group Supply Chain Director, Group Technical Director, and CEO of Heathrow Airport.

Tony holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree from the University of Lancaster in the UK.

Turloch Mooney is a senior business intelligence professional who advises organizations on container supply chains, ports, and trends and processes in the global trading system.

He leads IHS Markit’s Port Analytics team and s the Port Performance Program, a new and unique global dataset that for the first time allows benchmarking of global container port and terminal performance using empirical data.

Turloch’s areas of specialization include container supply chain and logistics processes; maritime and trade physical and digital infrastructure and international trade policy and processes. He has deep expertise in container port infrastructure and investment and levels of port and terminal performance.

Currently based in Amsterdam, Turloch lived and worked in Hong Kong and Shanghai for two decades and has extensive experience and knowledge of container supply chains linked to Asian markets.
Turloch is regularly invited as an expert speaker at global industry conferences and media organizations and has been published in the Financial Times, Foreign Policy, the Wall Street Journal, CNN, the Journal of Commerce and Japan’s Nikkei Review, as well as for a wide variety of industry journals, books and whitepapers.

Prof. Xiaoming YANG has been serving as the Chairman of the Board at CNBG since Mar. 2015. He oversees the corporate strategy, governs the high-level operations and integrates the internal and external resources to promote the organic growth and expansion of the company. Before his current position, he held several senior positions in Sinopharm, including the Chief Engineer of Sinopharm, the President of the CNBG, and the General Manager of WIBP.

He serves as member of leadership team in several leading organization and programs, including Chief Scientist of Vaccine Project in the National 863 program, General Director of the National Combo Vaccine Engineering Technology Center, Vice-Chairman of Vaccine Committee of Chinese Pharmacopoeia Commission（ChPC）, Executive Director of the Chinese society of immunology, Member of the Joint Prevention and Control Mechanism of the State Council-Vaccine Research Committee, Chairman of Board of Biologicals at Chinese Preventive Medicine Association, Vice President of China Medicinal Biotechnology Association and a member of Vaccine committee.
