Since June 2017 Amadou Diallo is CEO of DHL Global Forwarding Middle East & Africa. He is the founder of Saloodo! GmbH. He was previously CEO DHL Freight, CEO Africa and South Asia Pacific DHL Global Forwarding and prior to this Chief Financial Officer of Deutsche Post DHL Logistics Divisions and Managing Director for the integration of Exel and DHL. Mr. Diallo has more than 25 years of experience in the tourism, banking, express and logistics industries. He is Senegalese and is fluent in several languages including English, German, French, Fulani, Wolof and Spanish. Mr. Diallo is Chairman of Amref in Germany and in the boards of Welthungerhilfe, Africa 2.0, Schiller International University.

Richard is responsible for business development, product and content delivery, and for providing editorial and content leadership and management oversight at MEED.
He is responsible for ensuring that all MEED products and services are delivered to highest possible standards of quality and timeliness and for ensuring that MEED’s content operations are delivered on time and within budget. His responsibilities also cover client and government relations as well as new product development. Additionally, Richard is responsible for promoting and marketing MEED and for ensuring MEED maintains a high public profile. Consequently, Richard is a well-known and highly regarded speaker and commentator on regional economic affairs and speaks regularly to business audiences around the world and in the region.

Robert Sutton, who heads up Abu Dhabi Ports’ Logistics Cluster, is a results-driven and customer-focused business leader. At Abu Dhabi Ports, his primary area of responsibility is to develop and implement Abu Dhabi Ports’ logistics strategy and work with customers and partners to meet their business requirements and develop value-driven relationships.

Robert brings more than 20 years of experience across traditional, multi-modal, and digital supply chains spanning the MENA region, Asia, and Europe. His experience includes serving as Vice President & Global Sector Head at DHL.

Robert has a proven track record of achieving profitable and sustainable business growth. He also delivers consistent value and significant improvements to business performance at an operational, strategic and financial level.

His primary area of focus is end-to-end supply chain strategies, change management and marketing/business development.

Simon joined First Abu Dhabi Bank as Macro Strategist in January 2018 and brings with him over 25yrs of market experience. Simon was promoted to Chief Economist for FAB Group in December 2109. Over his career, Simon has built up a wealth of multi-asset, global macroeconomic investment strategy knowledge, working in both London and New York. Simon worked previously for BNP Paribas, RBC and National Australia Bank in London, and for Bear Stearns in London and New York.

Bi-lingual in French, his primary focus as Chief Economist at First Abu Dhabi Bank is on global (G10 / MENA / GCC) macroeconomic issues, covering rates, FX , credit and commodities and in particular how these are relevant to investment strategies within the MENA/GCC region.
Simon’s views are regularly requested by the major financial news channels and the written press. Simon is a regular guest host on Bloomberg television and radio as well as CNBC television. In addition, he has often been quoted in the Financial Times and other leading financial publications.

Tom joined Spinneys to lead the fresh Protein commercial team in 2017 after 15 years working in the UK in commercial roles focussed on fresh categories at Sainsburys and Marks & Spencer with a particular focus on meat. Following a senior restructure in August 2019, Tom was promoted to the Operating Board to jointly lead the full commercial team for Spinneys UAE/Oman and Waitrose UAE. He also leads the four international sourcing offices with responsibility for developing direct sourcing relationships and strategy. Since taking on his new role, Tom has restructured the commercial team and implemented a new category management approach to commercial planning and management which has driven steady like for like growth since November last year. Tom is the Chair on Spinneys Coronavirus Task Force and leads the business to manage the response from both an operational and consumer perspective. Tom has previously worked in the co-ordination of several food crises in the UK that dramatically impacted consumer habits including two outbreaks of Avian Flu and the Horsemeat Scandal.
